Hawk Eye Wireless Camera

The Hawk Eye Wireless is the perfect solution for our customers who simply can't get the audio-video (AV) cable on our wired Hawk Eye Nature Cam into the house. The camera has infrared night vision, built in microphone, a 70-degree, wide angle, variable focus lens, and sun hood.

But, please note, there is no such thing as a totally "wireless" camera. All cameras still need electrical power and so some type of power cable must be run to it. Once plugged in and operating, it will transmit the audio and video signals "wirelessly" to a receiver, which, in turn, passes the signals to the television or AV compatible computer.

Is Hawk Eye Wireless? Is it right for me?

"Wireless" cameras are a great for what they were designed for. But, they are not for everyone. Before ordering, please take a moment to see why our Hawk Eye Wireless can be a great solution . . . or, if you are better off saving money and buying the standard Hawk Eye Nature Video Camera.

See Hawk Eye Wireless Explained Video Below - EVERYTHING YOU WANTED TO KNOW ABOUT THE HAWK EYE WIRELESS BUT WERE AFRAID TO ASK!

1) First of all, please understand that there is no such thing as a truly wireless camera. "Wireless" refers only to the transmission of the audio and video signals between the camera and television or AV compatible computer. You still have to get electricity to the camera, and that means running an electrical power cable from an electrical socket out to the camera.

2) So, because a cable has to be run out to the camera anyway, why not just use the original, wired Hawk Eye? In most circumstances you can. The Hawk Eye Wireless, however, is the best solution when a) there is an outdoor power source, preferably near the camera, and b) when it is impossible to get the cable inside the house or building where the television is. A good example is a school. Quite a few biology teachers set up birdhouses outside the school so their students can watch the wonders of bird nesting, breeding, and rearing of the young. Quite often there is an electrical outlet on a pole, or in an outbuilding near where the birdhouse and Hawk Eye cam are located, which takes care of the problem of electrical power. But, quite often it is impossible to get a cable from the camera across the school yard, much less into a third floor classroom inside a brick school yard. The Hawk Eye Wireless overcomes this drawback by simply transmitting the AV signals directly into the classroom.
