The Conservation Bat House Kit is the perfect combination of function and durability. This easy to assemble kit is great for scout groups, classrooms, and kid's craft parties. The pre-cut pieces of eastern white pine quickly form the finished bat house using the included hardware. The finished bat house features a single chamber and holds up to 12 bats. The interior surface and landing platform is made of rough wood covered with black colored screening to make it easy for bats to cling when roosting and landing. The single chamber measures 3/4" deep and a ventilation gap in the front of the house serves to maintain proper temperature and helps with air circulation. The roof is slanted forward for better rain run-off. This bat house weathers beautifully as it is made of weather-resistant eastern white pine. This bat house may be assembled with a hammer and philips screwdriver (not included) and mounted to a tree, building, or pole. Quality Eastern White Pine Construction. Proudly made in the USA!
