Select Cedar Flicker House - The outside width and depth dimensions are 9.5" x 9.5". Roof is hinged and the side opens for cleaning. Comes with wood shavings. This house comes with shavings because normally these birds do not bring anything but feathers to the nest. All houses need to be cleaned out before the next season starts. We suggest doing it in the spring so the birds can roost in them during the winter. This Flicker nest box features all cedar construction, stainless steel and dichromate plated screws. The box is hand sanded, assembled with screws, and coated with a non-toxic wood protector which accents the wood grain and the natural warmth of cedar. Handcrafted in the USA!
