These heavy duty wire cages will keep out squirrels, grackles, starlings and other large birds from accessing the feeder. Cage has slotted top to run the bird feeder hanger cable through the cage for hanging. Base of cage is mounted to base of feeder. Use a fastener clip to hold cage base to frame if not attaching to base of feeder (finger-loop spring lock works well for this). Mounting hardware to attach base to feeder is included. Base of cage serves as a perching plate for the birds when attached to feeder. Cage openings are 1.38" x 1.38" diameter allowing small songbirds to access feeder. Simply size up the feeder you want to use and select the right size cage. Cages are 12" diameter. Durable heavy-duty vinyl coated metal construction. Made in the USA!
