Bark Clad Ultimate Bluebird House - Supplement the natural motif in your bird garden and offer suitable shelter to bluebirds with the Bark Clad Ultimate Bluebird House. Sturdy, all wood domicile has a classic shape and a wealth of clever and helpful features. Bark clad front panel with 1.5" diameter entry allows bluebirds access to the nesting chamber. Pitched roof overhangs this entry, keeping water out, and has a shingled finish for insulation and metal ridge cap for extra strength. Metal grid sits 0.5" above the floor of the home, keeping eggs or nestlings dry and safe from parasites. Cut corners on the base also enable water to exit. Both side panels on this nest box lift upwards thanks to large, wooden block handles on them. One side has a plexiglass panel and can be used for visually monitoring the nest, while the opposite side may be opened for cleaning and maintenance. A metal latch keeps each side closed for avian safety. Extended back panel and included screw make it easy to place this home against a post, wall, or tree. 0.75" thick, wooden frame keeps the home insulated and ensures durability for seasons of use.
