Our Mason Jar Bases screw onto a standard glass or plastic 1-Quart (32 oz.) or 1-Pint (16 oz.) jar to make a do-it-yourself gravity feeder. Constructed of heavy-gauge galvanized steel for corrosion and rust resistance. Each 6 inch diameter base comes with a durable powder coated finish in vibrant cardinal red, forest green, or navy blue colors (Select at checkout). The feeder base design has a rounded, embossed edge to reduce chafing and chance of injury. The base comes with eight feeding holes that allow multiple birds or chicks to feed at once.
Use these versatile bases as a standalone ground bird feeder, or DIY hanging feeder using heavy-duty craft wire or twine. Screw the base into jars to create a gravity feeder for baby chicks and small game birds. The base works well for all types of bird seed, cracked corn, chick starter feed, crumble, and pellet style feed. They also make great bird waterers, mealworm, and oriole jelly feeders.
