Orioles

Baltimore OrioleThe strikingly beautiful black and orange male Baltimore Oriole is a welcome sight when they migrate to the central and eastern United States after wintering in Florida, Mexico and Central America. The females are a duller orange with 2 white wing bars.

Though they are shy, the orioles will readily visit your backyards and feeders if you offer them grape jelly, orange halves, nectar and suet. Thank you to The Macaulay Library at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Ithaca, New York.
